Today is one of those days. I have been up since very early fretting about how to get started with ABR, how to break up the day, doing research for the new diet that we will start.
How do I make all of this stuff work? How do I put it all together?
For example, today we’re supposed to fit in 1 hour of HBOT, 2 hours of PT, hippotherapy, and 3 hours of ABR. Plus we have to be prepared with his food and make sure he’s eating the right stuff.
I created a schedule but things never go according to schedule. We got Nathan in his hyperbaric chamber, but the DVD was out of place so he couldn’t see so he started complaining. So to fix the DVD I had to reset the chamber. And then start again. After another 15 min’s, the dvd stoppped. Finally I gave up. So we lost 30 minutes when he should’ve been in the chamber, and after I pulled him out it was too late.
I am having a hard time trying to figure out how to do all the things we’re supposed to do to help Nathan.
Plus I have to work so I’m stressed because when I’m with Nathan I should be working and when I’m working I could be helping Nathan.
Any suggestions on how to make this work?
Hello-
I feel you struggle! The only suggestion is to take one day at a time. There is never enough time to do all the therapy, HBOT, play, feedings, ect… let alone work or take a shower! I know with Alli I just read her and if she is having a great day than her needs come first and I can catch up on work on her off days or when she is not feeling well. Just don’t get too frustrated you are doing an amazing job!!
We will be getting out chamber the first week of December, so I will be calling looking for advise…talk to you soon.
