I received the Don Jonhnston newsletter in which their staff writer talks about a stimulus that the federal government is giving to all school districts to be used specifically for special education.
I don’t know/understand much about this but I think it’s important for everyone to know. If you need your school district to get any augmentative communication devices or equipment for your child, you can request an IEP and ask for what you want. If they say there is no money, you can tell them about the stimulus package and that they WILL have money.
